With everyone in the country under tight restrictions because of the COVID-19 pandemic, boredom has become a legitimate issue among U.S. citizens. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, along with all federal and state leaders, are urging Americans to practice social distancing by refraining from gatherings of 10 or more for the foreseeable future.
Most public-school students are transitioning to remote learning, several business are requiring employees to work from home if possible and personal hygiene is being stressed in every public service announcement. The isolation, however, is leaving open the possibility for everyone to improve their physiques even if it can’t be accomplished at the gym.

Ways to combat catching COVID-19 include self-quarantining from others, washing hands, avoiding hand to hand or physical contact with others. Coronavirus spreads between people in close contact with one another, typically within six feet, or through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. Spread is still possible before people show symptoms, although that does not stand as the typical cause, according to the CDC.
Large, crowded areas should be avoided as movie theaters, work conferences and other traffic-heavy events are being shutdown across the country per state jurisdictions at the urging of the CDC. Disneyland in California closed earlier this month amid coronavirus concerns as well as Disney World and Universal Studios theme parks in Orlando, Florida, whose closures have also gone into effect.
As of Saturday’s afternoon’s update, there have been more than 118,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in the U.S. with almost 2,000 deaths related to the illness.
