The mummy of this baby was found during a topographic survey for the construction of a new road by the Peruvian Government. Also here, archaeologists have found dozens of other mummies in a complex of 26 graves of both adults and children.
According to Guillermo Cock, an archaeologist in the research team, so far 40 mummies have been found and the number will continue to increase. And despite being in existence for a long time, the Incas mummies are still in good condition. Typically, in early 2015, a mummy was discovered with even one eye intact.
After being exhumed, the baby mummy was quickly transferred to the museum to preserve and facilitate research.
