In the seventh and final match of the qualifying round for EURO 2024, Portugal defeated Slovakia 3-2 thanks to two goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo. The match was part of Group J and was Portugal’s seventh consecutive victory.
The first goal was scored by Ronaldo in the 29th minute from the 11-meter penalty spot. Ronaldo then accomplished a hat trick in this game by scoring the ball from close range with an assist from Bruno.
The Portuguese superstar has reached a new and unmatched milestone in the annals of football history with the help of this double.
Specifically, CR7 has scored 73 goals for the National Team beyond the age of 30, which is an accomplishment that is difficult for any player to attain. He has accomplished this feat by scoring two goals in this match.
