TOS-1A Solntsepyok multiple rocket launchers and Russian armored vehicles launched an attack on the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Nevelskoye settlement of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Avia.pro reported that Russia staged a large-scale attack on the settlement of Nevelskoye, west of Donetsk. The video shows the fierce Russian attacks on the Ukrainian army stronghold. The time of the attack was not disclosed by the Russian side.

The operation to attack the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces was carried out by armored vehicles of the 110th Brigade of the 1st Donetsk Army, the Russian armed forces.

As noted, during the fighting, the TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy multiple rocket launcher systems provided fire support to the Russian army. Meanwhile, reconnaissance drones control the attacks, directing fire precisely at the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces.

TOS-1A multiple-barrel rocket artillery complex (nicknamed Solntsepyok – Solar Fire) of the Russian army, equipped with 24 220mm rockets and uses a T-72 tank chassis. The TOS-1A becomes a formidable weapon against enemies lurking in fortified fortifications, caves or urban areas.

TOS-1A can use many different types of ammunition: incendiary bullets, thermobaric warheads, rocket shells with a length of 3.3m, weighing 173kg and a type of 3.7m long and weighing 217kg. TOS-1A has the lowest range at 400m and the longest at 6km.

Ukraine has not yet commented on the information.
